EARLY AUDIO AR USE CASE EXPLORATION
Having worked in early concept development for a while, one of the most difficult challenges I observed was overcoming the subjective nature of ideas across different team members. One of the greatest values I could provide to my team was to objectify a concept as quickly as possible so that we could begin a discourse and about what we were building.
As an example of this approach, below is a concept video I made for expressing various Audio Augmented Reality use cases. Although I could have communicated these across various media (photography, illustration, video shoots), I opted to leverage the free, watermarked videos in the Pond5 (https://www.pond5.com) library, and the Amazon Polly text to speech engine for narration. This made for a quick, 24 hour turnaround asset delivery to the team for review and discussion. Additionally, choosing first-person view videos helped to create an immersive feel for my teammates, simulating being in the experience themselves.
