Concept Video for Bedside Sleep Intervention Product

Principal Designer · Bose · 2021

What I did — Translation of Jobs to be Done into an experience framework. Created an ideal user (based on consumer research study and readout) and day in the life story of how this product would fit into their life. Created (storyboarded, wrote script, narrated, and edited) a concept video to illustrate the value proposition of the product. Presented the video along with a cross-disciplinary team to executive leadership to get permission to continue to the next phase of the program.

Outcome — Alignment with business and engineering teams to align on product direction, and inspired the next phase of work.

Collaborator — Fardad Faridi created the illustrations used in the concept video.

As part of the Bose Health team, I was asked to create a vision for a future out-loud speaker, mobile app, and sleep routine intervention experience. With guidance from the Consumer Insights team, who formed the Jobs to be Done and user persona, I storyboarded this “day in the life”, edited it in After Effects, recorded the narration, and worked with my fellow designer/illustrator, Fardad Faridi, to create a first person view illustrations. Here are the results.
